Scientific research on PE film

PE film, also known as polyethylene film, refers to a film produced using PE particles. PE film has moisture resistance and low moisture permeability. Polyethylene film (PE) can produce products with different properties, such as low-density, medium density, high-density polyethylene, and cross-linked polyethylene, depending on the manufacturing method and control measures.
In 2023, researchers observed "plastic rocks" using spectroscopic instruments and found that carbon atoms on the surface of polyethylene films chemically bonded with silicon in the rocks with the help of oxygen atoms.
